Series: Crawling Butterflies NO.1

NO. 1 Crawling Butterflies

When do you think the butterfly realizes it has wings and can leave the ground? Taking off into the sky it’s never had the opportunity to do anything but stare at from below? I can’t help but wonder if there was ever a split second when the old way of living kept it from taking flight? Or did it go into the process knowing that when the time came to reveal, she would be ready.

What’s the point of going through the process but never leaning confidently into the benefits of this new version of you.

Think about it, a butterfly that still refers to itself as a caterpillar.

I may be the only one, but there are times where I have to remind myself that I have wings on my back and it’s time to get up into the sky. There are places to be and ground to cover that God has assigned my name to… your name to. We have the ability to be and do everything that has been assigned to us in this season so let’s leap with confidence that once we spread our wings the wind will carry us. What use to be the old way of life and thinking doesn’t look the same when it’s in new territory. It’s a threat to everything God has called you to, everything He has been reshaping you for. And let this be of no surprise, we’ve all been called and we all go through reshaping. The creator of the universe and everything you see didn’t just stop being creative, but instead chose to switch up the tempo and make us the tool that He holds in his hand to create. Let’s not think of ourselves as anything less, we are beautiful butterflies – show up in the world, be confident, and most importantly let’s make the decision to part with the ground we stand on to fly.
